Help
The questions that come up most, answered as briefly as they can be without cutting what matters.
What is Asaruma?
An app that holds what a household runs on: money, notes, important documents, the people in it, and one button for an emergency. All in a space the household owns, with who can see what decided per record.
Can Asaruma connect to my bank account?
No, and that is deliberate. We do not ask for, transmit or store your internet-banking or e-wallet credentials. Transactions are entered by hand, and balances are computed from those records.
If I share a household, does my partner see everything?
No. Every record carries its own setting: private, open to the household, or opened to named people. A transaction is open to the household by default; a note and a vault item are private by default.
Will anyone know if I make something private?
For a record you wrote yourself, no. The change is recorded in your own history and is not reported to the household owner. Privacy that announces its own use is not privacy.
What happens if I forget my Vault password?
You still have the recovery code you saved during setup. If the password and that code are both lost, your private documents cannot be opened again, including by us. We say so up front, because that is the promise that makes the Vault worth having.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. The app works fully with no network and syncs once the connection returns. If two people change the same thing, Asaruma does not quietly discard one of them.
Is SOS a paid feature?
No. SOS works on the free plan and on a lapsed subscription, and there is never an upgrade offer on the way to that button.
If I stop subscribing, do I lose my data?
No. A plan decides how much more you can add, not what is already there. Everything you entered stays readable, and export is always available.
Can I get my data out of Asaruma?
Yes, on every plan, including the free one and a lapsed one. Export is never a paid feature.
Is there a web version?
There is, and it is deliberately narrow. The browser signs in by scanning a code from an app that is already signed in, the session lasts hours rather than months, and it cannot open the Vault, trigger SOS or change a subscription. You can revoke it from the phone at any time.
Are my notes used to train a model?
No. Vault content is never sent to a model, and a private note is only sent when its author confirms it for that single request. Model output always arrives as a proposal you accept, edit or reject.
How do I delete my account and my data?
Send a request from the Legal page. We email a verification link to that address, and nothing is deleted until the link is followed.
