The people at home, and what each may do
A household can be two adults, a child, a grandmother, or one person. Asaruma makes no assumption about its shape.
One household, one space
Everything a household holds belongs to that household. A person can be a member of more than one — their own and their parents' — and nothing is ever visible across the two.
Roles name a capability, not a gender
The roles are owner, partner, member, dependent and guest. The authority to set budgets and spending limits belongs to the role, not to a husband, a father or a man. The households that need Asaruma most often do not look like that.
A dependent is a profile, not an account
A child is created inside the household by a guardian, with no login and no invitation. When the time comes, the guardian can promote them to an account with reduced capabilities — a role change on the same person, never a move of their data somewhere new.
A family tree that holds people without accounts
A relative can exist in the family tree without ever installing the app. Relationships are recorded as they actually are.
Growth, dated
Height, weight, photos and milestones are recorded by date and form a child's timeline.
A child's data is treated as it should be
A dependent's data is entered under their guardian's consent, is never used to train or improve anything, and never appears in analytics. Our analytics carry event names and counts — never note text, merchant names, amounts or file names.
Invite one person first
A household of one is still a household. The others can follow whenever.
